Abiding Love Lutheran Church

This is love: not that we love God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. - 1 John 4:10

History of Abiding Love

In May of 1993, at the request of the Colorado Mission Board, the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) assigned Pastor Kevin Klug to begin the work of starting a WELS church in this community.  He and his wife moved to Loveland in July of 1993.

The first public worship service of Abiding Love Lutheran Church was held on March 27, 1994 in the leased commercial space on 29th Street.  27 adults and 9 children were members of the congregation at that time.

In April of 1996, Abiding Love became a mission congregation of the WELS.  At that time the congregation began the search for a place to have a permanent location.  With God's guidance and help, we purchased a piece of land at 2825 E. 1st Street, and construction of our new building was completed in March 2007.

As of this date, the Abiding Love family has about 160 adults and 43 children.  The Lord has blessed our congregation over the past fourteen years.  We pray for his continued blessing on us and through us in the future.
